Resource Fair in Lincoln Provides Necessary Opportunities to Connect
A few hours after the PEERS Training Event in Milford concluded, ASN presented an autism community gathering and resource fair at Sheridan Lutheran Church, a common, beloved community gathering space in East Lincoln.
ASN Board members and volunteers greeted attendees as they arrived.
The resource fair brought community members and providers (such as occupational therapists and disability program coordinators) together to connect and discuss opportunities for greater impact.
It was the first such gathering in a long time and it enabled some necessary dialogue among providers and community members alike.
Presenters at the event included Autism Society of Nebraska, Autism Center of Nebraska, Autism Family Network, Enable (First National Bank), the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Therapy Works of Nebraska, UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute, and Special Olympics of Nebraska, among others.
